The Brief

Armeg are one of the leading global manufacturers of innovative, high quality power tool drilling accessories. With 50 years’ experience, they are the experts in their field.

Our graphic design team were approached to design a suite of clamshell blister packs for a range of new multi-tool blades that were being released.

This included small illustrations to be featured on the packaging, and multiple variations to suit different packaging sizes.

Packaging Design

The client wanted us to create a bold, eye-catching design that would complement existing packaging designs already in the shops, to ensure that the new products were instantly recognisable as Armeg quality products.

After discussions with the client, and ensuring we fully understood the brief, work began on the designs. Armeg provided the dimensions for each product, external blister pack, and insert required, to enable us to plot out the positioning of all wording and imagery to be included in the design.

Particular consideration was given to the positioning of elements such as the butterfly hole (that enables the package to be displayed on slatwall arms or similar), and the multi-tool blades themselves, to ensure that no text or imagery would be hidden or otherwise compromised.

Careful adherence to Armeg’s brand guidelines was essential, to ensure that the colours and fonts used would be on brand and sympathetic to the existing product lines, making the new products instantly identifiable to consumers.

The Results

The resulting multi-tool product packaging is cohesive and on-brand, ensuring that the new range stands out in the retail environment. The launch was successful, with the new packaging design ensuring that the products had immediate “grab appeal” to consumers, both existing and new.
